Wage & Salary Policies

5.1 WAGE OR SALARY INCREASES
Each employee’s hourly wage or annual salary will be reviewed at least once each year. The employee’s review date will usually be conducted on or about the anniversary date of employment or the date of the previous compensation review. Such reviews may be conducted more frequently for a newly created position, or based on a recent promotion.

Although the Company’s salary ranges will be adjusted on an ongoing basis, AVIALITE does not grant “cost of living” increases. Performance is the key to wage increases in the Company.


  • Salary

The starting salary is agreed with the employee before the employment commences.
 

  • Increments

Salary increments may be made at the sole discretion of the company. 
Salary increments are normally:

  1. Given around the 1st Quarter of each year.

  2. Determined on the basis of performance, adherence to company policies and procedures, and ability to meet or exceed duties per job description and achieve performance goals (See  Section 3.10 , Performance Review/Planning Sessions).

  3. Not given to those employees who have not completed 12 months' service on the 1st of January.

  4. Not given to those employee who have reached the maximum of the salary scale applicable to the job.

  • Bonus

The employee may be paid an annual bonus at the sole discretion of the company. Normally, no bonus will be paid to employees who have not completed 12 months' service on 31st December.

5.2 TIMEKEEPING
Accurately recording time worked is the responsibility of every non-executive employee. Time worked is the time actually spent on a job(s) performing assigned duties.

AVIALITE does not pay for extended breaks or time spent on personal matters.

The time clock is a legal instrument. Altering, falsifying, tampering with time records, or recording time on another team member’s time record will result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment.

Authorized personnel will review time records each week. Any changes to an employee’s time record must be approved by his/her supervisor. Questions regarding the timekeeping system or time cards should be directed to the supervisor or Human Resource Representative.

Time Cards – Non-executive employees will be issued a time card on their first day of employment. The employee will be given thorough instructions on usage and instructions on what to do should a problem occur.

5.3 ALLOWANCES FOR NON-SALES PERSONNEL
The company pays allowances to employees under certain circumstances. These allowances are spelt out in the standing instructions and may be amended from time to time at the sole discretion of the company.


Employee who required to perform duties away from his/her ordinary workplace, he/she will be provided with allowances as follows:
​Meal allowance for exhibition ​RM15/day
​Daily meal allowance for KT staff work in KL office RM20/day​
​Mileage for KL staff travel (Motor Car Only) RM0.60/km​
​Mileage fo KL staff travel (Motorcycle Only) RM0.25/km​
​Parking and Tolls ​Claim as per receipt
Note: Daily meal allowance starts and ends on the travelling day.
